About Us

Star Academy of Dance and Aerial Arts offers quality training in a family-friendly environment. 

Our classes are for adults and children 4 years and older with any skill level. 

About Our Owner

Caitlyn danced in the Tampa Bay area from the time she was 2 and trained in Aerial Silks and Lyra since she was 16. In 2017, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Management with a Minor in Ballet from the University of South Florida. She performed with the USF Sundolls Dance Team for 2 years, serving both as the Technique Captain and Social Media Manager, while also continuing to teach multiple classes and traveling as the Stage Manager for Step Up 2 Dance Competition. She has performed dance and aerial acts throughout the country, and you might have even seen her in a few local commercials for MOR TV and Moreno Bakery. Caitlyn recently opened Star Academy of Dance & Aerial Arts and enjoys teaching her Dance and Aerial classes while working towards her MBA at USF - and she also works full time as the Membership Development Representative and MYP Coordinator with the Manatee Chamber of Commerce.

Caitlyn loves teaching all of her students and cannot wait to see them every week!

  • 6:15-7:00 Pre-Dance Class (ages 4-7)

  • 7:00-8:00 Aerial Class (ages 7-15)

  • 8:00-8:45 Adult Aerial Class (ages 16+)

Wednesdays - 

  • 6:45-7:15 Acro (ages 6+)

  • 7:15-8:15 Aerial (ages 7-15)

  • 8:15-9:00 Adult Aerial (ages 16+)

Fridays - â€‹

  • 3:15-4:00 Aerial Class (held at Saint Stephens - ages 7-12)

  • 4:45-5:30 Kids Dance Class (ages 7-11)

  • 5:30-6:30 Aerial Class (ages 7-15)

  • 6:30-7:00 Technique Class (every other week; ages 8+)

Class Descriptions

​​

  • Pre-Dance - Includes Ballet, Jazz, and Acrobatic technique. Designed for children ages 4-7 years old and open to all skill levels. 

  • Kids Dance - Includes Ballet, Jazz, and Acrobatic technique. Designed for children ages 8-11 years old and open to all skill levels. 

  • Acro - Includes stretching, conditioning, contortion, acrobatics, balancing, and tumbling. Designed for ages 6+ and open to all skill levels. 

  • Aerial - Includes brief stretching and conditioning, as well as instruction on the Aerial Silks and Lyra. Designed for students 7-15 years old and open to all skill levels. 

  • Adult Aerial - Includes brief stretching and conditioning, as well as instruction on the Aerial Silks and Lyra. Designed for students 16+ years old and open to all skill levels. 

  • Technique - Includes Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary instruction. Designed for students 8+ years old and intermediate/advanced levels.

Pricing

  • Dance or Acro Class (once a week) - $40/month

  • Aerial Class (once a week) - $75/month

  • Additional Dance or Acro Class - $25/month

  • Additional Aerial Class (in addition to another Aerial Class) - $40/month

  • Dance Technique Class - $10/drop in

  • Adult Aerial (once a week) - $65/month or $20/drop in

  • 10% sibling discount
